Hey guys today I’m taking y’all to the kitchen😍 So last week was my dad’s 50th Birthday and I decided to bake for him a chocolate cake and he loved it; so I thought I’d share the recipe as well.
2 cups of Sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
2 tea spoons of baking powder
1 tea spoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
2 tea spoons of vanilla extract
A bar of chocolate
Steps to follow
- Pre-heat the oven to 250 degrees
- Mix the dry ingredients on a bowl
Get a bowl and whisk together flour (though some recipes say you should put this after the wet ingredients), sugar, salt, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder. The mixture should look like this
- Mix in wet ingredients
Blend in vegetable oil, melted butter until combined. Add vanilla extract, milk then add eggs and blend until combined.
- Mix until you can’t see any particles
- Pour into a bowl and insert in the oven. For about 45 minutes and insert a toothpick/fork until it comes out clean.
NB: In my case I used a potable oven hence the setting in terms of degrees and the time frame might be slightly different compared to if you use the normal oven
- Afterwards let it cool and apply the frosting on top of the cake and the sides.
Then grate the chocolate bar into particles to make toppings.
And that’s the final cake. Ignore the white cream it’s something I tried but kind of backfired 😅
Try the recipe and let me know what you think of it and how it turned out. Feel free to adjust the measurements of the ingredients to your liking 😋
