How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for about 3 years now. I started by using WordPress.com but last month I finally purchased a website which is more advisable.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to pass time and improve my creativity as a journalism student and at some point I ended up falling inlove with it and now I’ve been doing it for this long.
What do you do apart from blogging?
Apart from blogging, I am a student and professional stylist.
How did you start being a stylist and what has it been like for you?
I was hired as a stylist assistant under @istyle.ke last year and was later on promoted. What made me stand out was the fact that I had consistently been able to put out fashion content over the years so my boss was able to see my work. Through this she could tell that i would be capable of doing a good job as a stylist as well, still had a lot to learn though.
So far I have styled Foi Wambui, Femi One, Kwambox, DJ Mochi, DJshinski to mention but a few. It’s been an amazing opportunity and privilege to work with them and I’m definitely looking forward to working with more big names.
How do you manage to stay consistent.
Honestly, it’s not the hardest thing for me to create content because this is something that has smoothly intertwined into my daily routine. It has also become a positive outlet for me to challenge my creativity as well. I look at it more as a stress reliever than a source of income and as a result get to achieve a little bit of both.
Do you make money as a blogger?
Yes. The easiest what to make money as a blogger is through collaborations which is how I’ve made mine so far. However there are other ways of making money such as through affiliate marketing which I still haven’t really done much research on unfortunately. If you’re interested there are tones of articles that talk about this online.
What do I use to take photos for my blog?
I use my phone (iPhone 7plus) to shoot my content however there are times that I’ve used photographers instead. All the photographers I’ve worked with are tagged after all my blog posts have a look at them if you’d be interested.
What advise would you give to someone who wants to start blogging?
Just start! The time will never be perfect and you’ll never feel like you’re 100% ready to put your content out there unfortunately. However; you should just start with the little idea you have and with time it will grow as people keep interacting with your content.
Where do you see yourself in the future as a blogger?
Successful😂 okay!! I just mean that I can see my blog really being one my biggest sources of income if I keep being as consistent as I’ve been. There’s obviously a few things that I need to work on and invest in such as SEO to help me ensure that my blog really grows.

Yes it was about time really. My 5 year plan is to turn into one my greatest sources of income, who knows maybe even a full time job?
